Sweeney Todd: the Goblin Barber of Fleet Street at the Olympia Municipal Music Theatre “Maria Callas”

In the aftermath of a great night, we would like to thank all of you who attended the Panathinaikos Stadium on Wednesday 10 July.

We want to express our deep respect to the giants of music Plácido Domingo and José Carreras, who have honoured us with their performances,

but also our immense joy for the presence and energy of the audience that made attending this concert an unforgettable and unique experience.

The appearance of the two tenor legends in Athens was not just a musical event, but a historic moment for us, the producers and organizers.

With the love and support of the Greek audience, a great day in the history of concerts in Greece was written.

The emotion of the crowd was palpable as the two world’s leading tenors performed arias and favourite songs.

Unforgettable moments that will remain engraved in our memory forever, like the appearance of the great Christina Poulitsis, who stole hearts and impressions.

The artists gave their best under the watchful eye of the excellent conductor Jordi Bernacer who conducted the wonderful ERT Symphony Orchestra.

A big thank you to Stelios Konstantinidis and Jos Lambo for inviting the artists.

We would like to thank the Hellenic Red Cross – for their valuable presence in the area. With their professionalism and passion for helping, they contributed significantly to the safety of the public.
