George Perris at the Temple of Aphaia

With the Support of EOT

True to his belief that the classical always harmonizes with the modern, George Perris held a unique television concert at the ancient Temple of Aphaia in Aegina to promote Greece abroad. This event marked a significant moment as it was the first time in the history of our country that permission was granted for a concert at the ancient Temple of Aphaia.

The internationally acclaimed Greek singer performed songs from his latest album, “Stahtira Stavra In Onira,” featuring melodies by Evanthia Reboutsika, as well as selections from his forthcoming international album set for release in 2021. The concert also included foreign language songs from the classical repertoire he adores, seamlessly blending the past with the present.

The Doric Temple of Athena in Aegina, a jewel of the ancient world that predates the Parthenon, served as a breathtaking backdrop for this extraordinary concert, which will be released under the title “A Sunset in Greece.” The beauty, purity, and energy of this magical location, combined with the music, created an awe-inspiring experience as the sun set over the Saronic Gulf.

Joining George Perris in this bold venture were Marios Fragoulis, with whom he performed two crossover songs, and Evanthia Reboutsika, who accompanied her own melodies. Lina Nikolakopoulou contributed to the production by editing the texts that enrich the television special.

This unforgettable musical experience was truly one of a kind, sending a powerful signal to the world and showcasing Greece as the ultimate mythical destination on the planet.
